Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I offer private autism diagnostic assessments for adults, teenagers, and children aged 11 and over, using widely recognised assessment tools including the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.

Autism can present in many different ways across different stages of life. Some people experience longstanding differences in communication or social interaction. Others experience sensory sensitivities, difficulty managing uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, or a long-standing sense of feeling different or out of step with others.

People often seek assessment when long-standing patterns in communication, behaviour or daily functioning have never been clearly identified or explained – whether for themselves, or for a child or teenager in their care.

Many adults and parents come to assessment after years of uncertainty, or when concerns cannot be addressed within current NHS waiting times. For some, there has simply been a long-standing sense that something does not quite fit, without ever having a clear explanation.
